About The Low Ready

First of all, I want to thank you for visiting The Low Ready.  We aren't experts, we are just normal people with a passion for firearms.  I don't write the articles you see on this blog for the money, because honestly, I haven't made a dime from this site to date.  It's our way of giving back to the firearm enthusiasts, by setting aside our personal bias, putting real weapons through real-world testing, and reporting back with our opinions.  Simple as that.

Now, for a little information about the writer.  My name is Nick, I am a Veteran of the United States Army, I served in the Military Police Corps.  I have plenty of experience with military armament, but when it comes to other weapons, I really didn't have much experience before I enlisted.  I "caught the bug" while I was in the Army, and after I returned home, I started looking for a weapon of my own.  I have since owned a number of pistols, rifles, and a shotgun or two, and have made an effort to go to the range to try out new weapons as often as I can.  I wouldn't call myself "obsessed," because that indicates a level of psychological dependence, but I would venture that I am somewhat "Enthusiastic."

In addition to shooting, my hobbies include motorcycles, music, home improvement projects, and restoring classic cars.  I'm also attempting to learn HTML, CSS, and Javascript, but honestly, I'm failing miserably. . .

I will be bringing in guest writers occasionally, and I'll be sure to provide a suitable introduction for each of them when the time comes.
